Ushers assist in welcoming parishioners to the liturgy and facilitate the flow of people during the distribution of Communion. These individuals hand out bulletins, help facilitate seating, take up the offertory collection, organize gift bearers, and direct worshipers during Communion. In an emergency, ushers would be responsible for contacting the appropriate authorities and overseeing the orderly evacuation of the Church/Chapel. These individuals help to insure that the Mass goes smoothly. Individuals must be fully initiated and at least 16 years of age.
