Let me know about the next series

If you are open to attending elsewhere or virtually, St. Louis in Clarksville has an in-person series on Mondays starting Feb 28th and a virtual series on Tuesdays.  Click here to explore that option:  https://www.stlouisparish.org/discover/

Do you wonder if there is more to life? More to your faith?
Would you be thrilled to know there is an answer to living your most fulfilled life?

There is! We invite you to join us as we explore your questions in a hopeful and welcoming environment. You will have an opportunity to learn and experience how much you are truly loved by God and the difference that makes for all of it.

Created especially for those who are exploring, but thought-provoking and heart-moving for even the most faithful Christians, you are invited to come enjoy some tasty desserts (we're gonna pass on the typical full meal to limit our individual exposure), then listen to a dynamic teaching, and join in a small group discussion about the meaning of life in Jesus Christ. Discovering Christ is designed to deepen your faith and is a chance to come to know Jesus in a very real and personal way. Consider bringing your friends and family members who have been away from the Church and are interested in learning about a true relationship with Jesus Christ.

There is no cost to participate. Click the register now button and we will be in touch with details as the dates approach, or read on to get an idea of what to expect.

The Schedule

Starting February 15, 2022

Join us Tuesdays at from 7:00-8:30pm for the 7-week series
at St. Mark Catholic Church Parish Center
30 Melvin Ave. Catonsville, MD
(the series also includes a day retreat on Sunday March 20th)

A Typical Session

We’ll have homemade goodies and warm drinks to share as we all sit at our small group table of 8 and catch up on our week.

Prayer time consists of singing a couple of easy-to-follow songs with the words displayed on the overhead.

The video sessions proclaim, with beauty and logical clarity, the core Gospel message about our purpose and how knowing Jesus personally is central to it.

Small groups are places for people to freely discuss what they heard in the teaching and share their questions.

Session Topics

  1. What is the Meaning of Life? (Feb. 15th)
  2. Why Does Jesus Matter? (Feb. 22nd)
  3. What Does Jesus Want us to Know? (Mar. 1st )
  4. Why Do I Need a Savior? (Mar. 8th)
  5. Why is the Resurrection Important for Us? (Mar. 15th)
  6. Retreat - Who Is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit and You (Sun Mar. 20th)
  7. New Life in the Spirit: Being a Catholic Disciple (Mar. 22nd)
  8. Our Need for the Church (Mar. 29th)

If your heart is yearning for more of life, we hope you will join us on this journey to get to know some new friends and meet the Jesus who loves you and desires for you to live your most abundant life.

“I have come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly.”

- John 10:10

Families Are Welcome!

Discovering Christ at St. Mark is family friendly.  After sharing the meal together, children's ministry will be provided for children ages 6-13. Discovering Christ for Kids is an age accessible modification of the adult program.

Volunteers ages 14 and up are needed--a wonderful way to get service hours!

Safety

The Coakley Room & Parish Center where we’ll be meeting are professionally cleaned daily, and we’ll be taking extra precautions by individually wrapping desserts we’ll be serving.  Masks will be optional, in line with the Baltimore County mandate being relaxed as of 2/1/22.
