Cantors

The Cantor’s responsibility is to facilitate the congregation’s sung worship. To be able to do this successfully, the cantor must feel comfortable assisting the congregation’s song and be familiar with the Catholic liturgy, while also singing well with a sound system. Cantors lead music at the 4:00 p.m. Saturday Mass and the 11:00 a.m. Sunday Mass in the Church. They must audition with Jennifer Blades, our parish Music Director, before being scheduled and must be willing to rehearse as needed. The cantors work with the Music Director in coordinating music for the various liturgies, celebrations and commemorations of the parish.
